1. SERVICE DESCRIPTION – Assimilation Leader

Appointed position

SERVICE SUMMARY – Track new members and encourage participation in GSLC groups, bible studies, and activities.

Principle Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain new member guide.

* Develop and maintain a list of members with less than 6 months of GSLC membership.

* Develop and maintain a list of members with 6 to 24 months of GSLC membership.

* Provide 0 to 6 month members with information on the basic structure of GSLC and the programs that we offer.

* Provide 6 to 24 month members with information on the volunteer and leadership positions at GSLC.

* Advise Board leadership with updates on how new members are becoming acclimated to GSLC.

* Perform miscellaneous duties as needed.

Reporting Relationship – Reports to the Board of Member Support

2. SERVICE DESCRIPTION – Assistant Chairman of the Board of Member Support

Appointed position

SERVICE SUMMARY – Assist the Chairman in the performance of his duties. Act in the place of the Chairman in the Chairman’s absence.

Principle Responsibilities

* Strayed and Straying Members

* Worship and Member Support – Group Assistant

* Group Life and Fellowship – Group Assistant

* Shepherding Program – Group Assistant

Reporting Relationship – Reports to the Chairman of Board of Member Support

Contributing Gifts

* Recruit dedicated Work Group Leaders

* Works will with others

* Computer skills

* Attend worship and bible classes regularly

* Good communication skills

3. SERVICE DESCRIPTION – Cancer Support Coordinator

Appointed position 

SERVICE SUMMARY – Track members with cancer and other serious health issues and provide support and encouragement to them.

Principle Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain a list of members with cancer and other serious health issues.

* Coordinate visits and phone calls to members.

* Develop resources that GSLC can provide to members and families with cancer and other serious health issues.

Reporting Relationship – Reports to the Board of Member Support

Contributing Gifts

* Some knowledge of the medical industry

* Community awareness of support programs

4. SERVICE DESCRIPTION – Chairman of the Board of Member Support

Elected position – 1 year term 

SERVICE SUMMARY – Member of the Leadership Team. Provide doctrinal oversight and work with Pastors when the need for church discipline arises. Responsible for recruiting work group leaders and providing planning guidance for the areas of which he is responsible.

* Shepherding Program – Group Contact

Reporting Relationship – Reports to the Leadership Team

5. SERVICE DESCRIPTION – Workgroup Leader for Group Life and Fellowship

Appointed position 

SERVICE SUMMARY – Assist the Chairman of the Board of Member Support in the areas of responsibility listed or as assigned by the Chairman. 

Principle Responsibilities

* Encourage formation of groups that provide additional opportunities for members to enjoy the blessings of Christian fellowship.

* Promote events that provide Christian fellowship.

* Provide refreshments for the fellowship time between Sunday worship services.

* Encourage new member participation in church and fellowship activities.

6. SERVICE DESCRIPTION – Shepherd

Appointed position

SERVICE SUMMARY – Monitor worship and communion attendance of assign member group.

Principle Responsibilities

* Get to know assigned members and families.

* Review weekly attendance reports.

* Encourage regular attendance for worship and bible classes for their assigned group.

* Complete a Shepherding Program Monthly Report and give to Shepherd Leader or Board of Member Support.

* Provide miscellaneous communication to your Shepherd group as needed.

Reporting Relationship – Reports to the Shepherd Leader and Board of Member Support

7. SERVICE DESCRIPTION – Workgroup Leader for Shepherding Program

Appointed position

SERVICE SUMMARY – Assist the Chairman of the Board of Member Support in the areas of responsibility listed or as assigned by the Chairman.

Principle Responsibilities

* Collect monthly Shepherd reports.

* Review monthly reports with the Board of Member Support.

* Recruit and train new Shepherds as needed.

* Serve as the first contact for Shepherd questions or concerns.

* Suggest improvements to the Shepherding Program to the Board of Member Support.

* Make Shepherd Program printed materials available to the group.

8. SERVICE DESCRIPTION – Wellness Support Coordinator

Appointed position

SERVICE SUMMARY – Track members with health issues and provide support and encouragement to them.

* Coordinate visits and phone calls to members.

* Develop resources that GSLC can provide to members with health issues.

9. SERVICE DESCRIPTION – Workgroup Leader for Worship and Member Support

Appointed position

SERVICE SUMMARY – Assist the Chairman of the Board of Member Support in the areas of responsibility listed or as assigned by the Chairman.

* Provide Board Coordination and support to Member Support Groups
